I’m not “mixed” but I’m very light because my mother is light. people always ask what I am too and it’s annoying. My story is a little different because 2 of my maternal great grandmothers were raped by white men. So this is why we are all so light. I definitely don’t feel like I totally fit in the black community. I’ve been teased and insulted for my skin color since I was a child. It’s just so complicated. Thank you for sharing your story. ❤️
